The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have made strategic decisions in retaining key players for the upcoming season. They have retained the services of Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, and Yash Dayal. After these retentions, RCB is left with a substantial purse of 83 crore INR and three Right to Match (RTM) cards at their disposal.

On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have also finalized their player retentions, opting to keep Heinrich Klaasen, Pat Cummins, Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, and Nitish Kumar Reddy. Post retention, SRH has a remaining purse of 45 crore INR and one RTM card available, which can be used for an uncapped player.
