Jemimah Rodrigues’ Membership Revoked at Khar Gymkhana

Jemimah Rodrigues, a prominent player for the Indian women’s cricket team, recently had her membership at Khar Gymkhana, a historic club in Mumbai, revoked. The revocation stemmed from complaints by certain club members about her father, Ivan Rodrigues, engaging in “religious activities” on the club’s grounds. These activities reportedly involved attempts to convert vulnerable people. Following a resolution adopted in a general meeting, the club’s managing committee decided to cancel her membership, stating that these actions breached the club’s by-laws that forbid any religious activities on its premises.
