Rishabh Pant Sidelined Due to Knee Injury in Bengaluru Test

During the third day of the Bengaluru Test against New Zealand, India’s wicket-keeper batter, Rishabh Pant, was sidelined due to a knee injury he incurred on the second day. The medical team of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) opted to monitor his condition closely, leading to Dhruv Jurel stepping in as the substitute wicket-keeper. Pant had previously experienced several surgeries on the same knee after a major car accident in December 2022, prompting the team to exercise caution to prevent further complications.
