Granit Xhaka Calls for Bayer Leverkusen to Challenge for Bundesliga Title Again

Granit Xhaka, the Swiss midfielder who joined Bayer Leverkusen from Arsenal at the start of last season, has called on his teammates to challenge for the Bundesliga title again after their surprise triumph last season.

Leverkusen made history by winning the Bundesliga undefeated, becoming the first German side to achieve this feat. They also won the German Cup and lost just one of their 53 matches in all competitions.

Xhaka, who played a key role in Leverkusen’s success last season, believes that the team has what it takes to repeat their triumph and challenge for the title once again.

“We have a great team and we showed that last season,” Xhaka said. “We have the quality and the mentality to compete at the highest level and I believe that we can challenge for the Bundesliga title again.”

The 28-year-old midfielder, who has also played for Borussia Monchengladbach and FC Basel, has been a standout performer for Leverkusen since his arrival. He has scored six goals and provided 12 assists in 45 appearances for the club.

Xhaka’s leadership and experience have been invaluable to Leverkusen, and his call for his teammates to challenge for the title again is a testament to his belief in the team’s ability.

Leverkusen will face tough competition in the Bundesliga this season, with defending champions Bayern Munich and perennial contenders Borussia Dortmund among the favorites to win the title.

However, Xhaka is confident that Leverkusen can rise to the challenge and compete with the best teams in the league.

“We know that it won’t be easy, but we are ready for the challenge,” Xhaka said. “We have a strong team spirit and we believe in ourselves. We will give everything we have to win the title again.”

With Xhaka leading the way, Leverkusen will be a team to watch in the Bundesliga this season. Their determination and belief could see them repeat their historic triumph and challenge for the title once again.
